Direct to garment digital printing is relatively new to the textile printing industry, Here at The Fabric Printer we have waited until we felt the products had evolved sufficiently to meet our standards before introducing it to our product range. After a recent trip to the USA we decided to purchase a state of the art I-Dot direct to garment digital printing machine. This machine was built by one of the world leaders in textile machines (M&R) and we are proud to have it in our factory.
Digital printing is a fantastic option for printing onto run cotton t-shirts and can deliver full colour printing onto both white and coloured shirts at the click of a button. This process does not require screens, artwork, separations or films. And is a perfect low cost option for short runs with complex designs.
At this stage digital printing will not eliminate the need for traditional screen printing, as it is not suitable for larger runs due to high ink costs and slow product times. However it is perfect for short runs, one off shirt and great for product sampling for larger runs and photo shoots.

TFP Transfers
PERFECT FOR:- Small regular print runs (i.e. 1 to 10 garments often)
- Garments which cannot be printed directly (underwear, headwear, jackets etc)
- Very small prints which become economical when run in multiples on large prints.
- Applications onto stretchy fabrics such as Lycra
- Heat sensitive fabrics
Spot colour transfers can incorporate up to 7 colours. They can be pre- printed prior to application, stored and transferred to garments as required. Allowing customers to decorate garment on demand
